KOBAG welcomes you to our great bicycle adventure in Oregon

Susan Orndorff's NEW Bike Friday - of note is the fact that both Susan and Art have done a metric century in prep for the ride. That means both she and Art have done 60+ mile trips. Apparently they are well prepared for Kobag's adventures - stay tuned for more highlights and please send your thoughts our way. Wish you all could be with us on this trip.

I got my phone call from our lead guide John MacIntyre tonight, while I was watching the Bruce Springsteen piece on 60 minutes. He told me to bring wet weather riding gear, and at least one pair on nice pants for the evening activities.

Had to get a new chain, rear cassette, and tune up for my little Bike Friday so I can keep up with the rest of you. The bike shop promised me it'd be ready on Thursday.

spies are everywhere, and reports are coming in about malfunctioning bicycles, malfunctioning bodies, and malfunctioning accessories!! Anybody care to be more explicit??

Nevertheless, the Kobag team will show up at the great showing up spot on Sunday morning, ready to rock

I will post a malfunction report tomorrow - stay tuned.....

My malfunction of the day was being unable to get my right pedal off. So I may need to do a Susan move and pedal with one leg like she did in Ireland when they had a pedal malfunction on the tandem....maybe I can just get her to take my place since she's experienced in this area and I'll take her shiny new bike.
My plan for today (Friday) is to take it to the bike shop and find out that instead of loosening the pedal, I've really just been tightening it the whole time or something silly like that.

Got my new "ride like the wind" haricut so that I'll be more aerodynamic...yeah...

Walked down to Old Town last night to get some batteries and came across a battle of the bagpipe bands going on in Market Square. It reminded me that another thing I was to do in retirement is to learn how to play the bagpipes and march in GW Day parades or entertain my friends at dinner parties!
