Beastly day of 101 temperature but the views were fantastic. The terraine changed constantly from wooded forests to dry upland to desert. We took this picture just after climbing a long hill.
Whoa! That's a lot of miles! Confirms my good decision not to do this trip! Also, Kitty, I don't recall you mentioning temps that high when we were discussing the weather you would encounter. That's a lot of biking in that kind of heat. Hope everyone is ok.

Yikes - certainly toasty - and long. I hope tomorrow is cooler - recovery type of day!
